30th Anniversary Concert
Ashby Concert Band marks its 30th Anniversary with a spectacular programme spanning symphonic wind classics, cinematic favourites, and vibrant contemporary works.
The evening journeys from the sweeping drama of Miss Saigon and the stirring melodies of Vaughan Williams’ Folk Song Suite to the high‑energy adventure of the Pirates of the Caribbean Symphonic Suite and the bold, rhythmic flair of Malcolm Binney’s Charivari.
Audiences will also enjoy powerful moments such as Saint‑Saëns’ Danse Bacchanale, the atmospheric Last of the Mohicans, Ron Goodwin’s majestic Tall Ships, and the haunting elegance of Shostakovich’s Waltz No. 2.
With additional favourites including music from The Mandalorian, Les Misérables, The Blue and the Gray, and James Curnow’s Wherever Lark or Eagle Flew, this anniversary celebration promises an uplifting, memorable showcase of the band’s musical journey over three decades.
It promises to be a joyful, dynamic celebration for long‑time supporters and new listeners alike.
